Take a BTS look at a Weekend with Lex!

Lexington, born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, is a remarkable 17-year-old dancer and rapper whose journey in the world of dance began at the tender age of two at Pinx Academy of Dance. She quickly rose to prominence as a former Captain and Principal Dancer of the Saint Louis Dazzling Diamonds Competition and Majorette Dance Team, achieving first place in Creative Dance on the popular reality show "BRING IT."

Currently, Lexington is a dynamic member of multiple dance groups, including Kode Redd Dance Company, Center of Creative Arts Hip Hop Crew, and Inner Vision Dance Theatre. She also attends COCA (Center Of Creative Arts), where she continues to hone her craft. Lexington's versatility is unparalleled, as she has been exposed to various dance disciplines such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz Fusion, African, Hip Hop, Dunham Technique, Horton, Haitian, J-Sette/Majorette Dance, Heels, Vogue, and Gymnastics.

Her talent has not gone unnoticed, as local dance companies quickly recognized her natural abilities, leading to numerous performance opportunities since the age of three. Lexington has graced stages throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area, captivating audiences with her performances in productions like America's Birthday Parade alongside Kennedy Holmes from The Voice, Dancing In The Streets Fox Tap Stage, and with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Lexington's dedication to her craft extends beyond local performances. She has attended prestigious summer intensives, including the Ballet Initiative Summer Intensive 2016 and received scholarships to the Debbie Allen Summer Dance Intensive 2017 in Los Angeles, CA, and 2018 in Atlanta, GA. Her talent has also taken her to the national stage, where she was chosen as a Guest Youth Artist for Clare and the Chocolate Nutcracker in Orlando, FL.

Despite her young age, Lexington's accomplishments speak volumes about her determination and passion for dance. She continues to receive acceptance letters from esteemed institutions and remains committed to her training, attending various workshops, master classes, and dance intensives. With her sights set on becoming an internationally renowned dancer, choreographer, and performer, Lexington's journey as a powerhouse in the world of dance is just beginning.
